FAQs

Making initial contact with a counsellor can seem daunting but it can be an important first step in getting help with the problems or difficulties you are facing.
Counselling and psychotherapy can help with a wide range of issues, creating a space for you, where you can voice your difficulties, be heard and gain a new perspective. Working with a trained therapist or counsellor can help you to make sense of the issues you are facing, helping you to explore ways to move forward in your life.
Therapy can be short term (6 to 12 weeks in duration) or more open-ended and long term depending on your needs and aims. We would usually discuss your goals and consider the options during the first session.
